TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN (TK)
The Kindergarten Readiness Act of 2010 established TK which offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young students and builds a strong foundation for school success. Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a full day program, as is our Kindergarten program. The program will follow the EUSD calendar.
Esparto Unified School District will begin accepting TK enrollments via email starting March 6th, 2023. Completed enrollment packets can be emailed to email@example.com
Children within the district who will reach their fifth birthday between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024, are eligible for TK.
Parents/guardians of children eligible for Fall 2023 TK enrollment must submit a completed enrollment packet to register. Partial enrollment packets will not be accepted. The required documents are listed below under Kindergarten Registration.
There are cases where school districts and parents agree that a Kindergarten-eligible student is better served in TK. These children will enroll in Kindergarten and parents are notified by the first day of school if space is available in TK. Should a Kindergarten eligible student participate in a TK program, a "Kindergarten Continuance" form will need to be completed (in collaboration with the school site) for the child to attend Kindergarten in the following year.
